Your Plan vs The Master Plan

We make our way through life with an inclination to having desires and seeking true purpose and understanding of our existence. While thriving to make our own lasting contributions in a world with billions of other people we innately develop goals and aspirations. These personal goals are a reflection of our deepest desires and are a form of self expression. On the path of achieving these set goals lies the fruitful gifts of growth and self-discovery.

We often play out the manifestations of our goals in our minds and build an idea of what is supposed to happen in order for these goals to be achieved. More times than not the ideas we build around the pursuit of our goals are different from the events that unfold in the reality of achieving them. This paradigm of a different set of events unfolding in contrast to our expectations raises the need to understand and strike a balance between our aspirations and the higher power at play in the journey becoming.( Your plan versus God’s plan)

We’ve all been told to “Trust the process” and as much as this has become a cliché, understanding the philosophical implications of this statement is vital to overcoming the formidable struggle of experiencing a reality that is different from your ideal path to success. Things don’t always work out the way we hope. In my opinion, things always work out how they have to in order for you to inevitably get what you want. Your life’s events unfold in a way that builds and prepares you for what you have asked for, because in most cases we aspire for really big things and the universe cannot just hand these things over to someone who is incapable of handling them. So as a means of preparation we hit stumbling blocks that push us to develop our mind and character into a suitable candidate for achieving set goals.

The understanding and application of this notion requires a specific mindset. This can be developed through practising resilience. Resilience is the ability to adapt to and withstand a challenging circumstance. It is therefore crucial to embrace the belief that challenges are avenues for growth rather than unconquerable barriers. This means re-evaluating setbacks as learning experiences, extracting lessons from failure and recognizing that resilience is built through adversity.
